A catastrophic fire broke in Barangay Poblacion 7, Cotabato City on 5 July 2023, resulting in the destruction of houses and leaving hundreds of families homeless. Some children who survived the fire show their drawings as part of a Psychological First Aid (PFA) program by World Vision. World Vision through Raw Hope has provided hygiene and educational kits as well as 10-day psychological support through Child-Friendly Spaces (CFS) . Families also received sets of kitchenware utensils, consisting of a cooking pot, frying pan, stainless steel bowls, tablespoons, forks, serving spoons, plates and mugs.

In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, 5-year-old Christian smiles with his families goat. His mother, Safi, is a farmer in the region on Binza. She received a goat through World Vision to bolster her livestock stock, which helps her to meet the basic needs of her household.

In Doolow, Somalia, a woman carries her child on her back. The World Vision's Kabasa Farm provides long-term solutions to hunger and malnutrition. It is now the source of livelihood for many households who moved to Doolow during the 2011 drought in search of aid and ended up being farmers.
